Default venom mod

Installed a Hurst shifter six months ago. I know it's subjective but it was just a too notchy for me. Too much effort required if shifting around town. Decided to install the anti-venom mod based on inputs from this forum. Based on your inputs I:
1 Bought the NAPA washers part #704-1357-10 for $8
2 Removed the bolt with a 15/16 inch socket. Noticed that sealer was put around the bolt head.
2 Put TWO washers around the transmission bolt. Thought I would start with two and move up to three if needed.
3 Put some black RTV between the two washers and bolt head.
4 Put some anti-freeze lube on the bolt threads, why not.
5 Re-installed the bolt

Results were that the shifting is more firm than stock but just enough "notchyness" for good feel between gears.

Thanks to all of you who saved me gobs of time by walking me through the installation.
