I sure do. Owning a Corvette is living the America Dream in Style! I am glad that I sacrificed, begged and waited. Had my MSG for a year now and love it. Continuing to drink the mod kool aid too
The word that comes to mind for me is "fortunate", but some say you make your own luck to some extent. SO ya, I guess it involves a feeling of success also
My success makes me feel successful. My Vette is still just a car (but it is a really cool car). When I get into a brand new Vette then maybe it will help me feel more successful.

Everyone I meet is shocked the vette is mine (I'm 26 and it's a 1999 vette although most people think it's only a couple years old). I guess successful is a nice way of putting it. It's all me paying for my car and I'm not some rich kid with some great family inheritance.
For me it's a mix of many things in my life that make me feel successful. I moved to Los Angeles from New York by myself at 23. I only knew 2 people here and left all my close friends and family behind. I'm very close to my family too and talk to them at least once a week. That was tough but many people do this move and then move out of LA in less then 2 years, many less then 1 year. I'm going on 4 years soon and I love it here and feel great. My job/career is moving along in the direction I want. I have great friends and acquaintances. I have a pretty nice roof over my head for living in Los Angeles. The Corvette to me is a reminder every time I drive it what hard work can get you.
When I got divorced in 1989 my "ex" said "I'll destroy you, if it's the last thing I do I'll destroy you".....Well, she almost did....Lost damn near everything I had....house (w/6 car garage), a collection of five early Ford Mustangs including a 1969 428CJ Mach 1, half my police pension, etc .....I lived like a coyote for the following five years in a 1 bedroom apartment getting back on my feet....worked every available hour of overtime, extra duty, side jobs, whatever it took to make a buck...Slowly but surely I made it back on my feet and never looked back...It's been almost 20 years...and Ive recovered FULLY....THAT'S what makes me feel successful....amassing my collection of Corvettes and other toys is what gives me something enjoyable to do on my day off........and of course it doesnt hurt that the "ex" STILL STEWS about it
