Default headlight issue

Member Since: May 2008 headlight issue

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just purchased a 2000 and seem to have a problem with my passenger side headlight. When I start the car in my garage only the driver side pops. When driving during the day I will turn on lights, to see if they are working, and both sides pop up.
When my wife drove the other night she had to drive with only the driver side up.
Anybody know what the problem may be and how to fix?
Thanks
NACHOCA

Do you hear a grinding noise like it is trying to open?
If so you might have a gear that is on its way out, They are able to be replaced with brass gears, Factory uses plastic gears.

Yep, sounds like you have a gear going bad. Common problem. Here's a tip so that you don't go around driving with one headlight up. You can manually raise them.
