Tire Pressure
I will be replacing my original EMT tire to a set of non runflats. I was wondering if the tire pressure stays the same all the time...
Thanks for your help...
Dan

Tire pressure is recommended by the vehicle manufacturer, not the tire manufacturer. A considerable amount of effort is put into determining the optimal tire pressure - to yield the best ride, handling and longevity characteristics by the engineers when they designed the car.As I'm sure you are aware - temperature (ambient and road surface) affects the inflation. The warmer it is, the more the air inside the tire expands. So obviously in the summer, those pressures increase more than in the winter. The point is - this is something that you will have to check regularly to assure that you are not over or under inflated.
I live in Phoenix. In the summer, I adjust my COLD temperature lower to allow for the heat (around 26 cold) and in the winter I adjust to around 28 cold to compensate.
Also - off the subject, at least fill out the minimum information in your profile (like city and state). It makes it easier to offer advice if we know what part of the country in which you reside.
