Hello Gang,
Taking my kids to breakfast the other morning, I spotted a 2002 Silver Z06.
Beautiful Car...:). The only problem was the owner. He was unfriendly to say the least. The guy would not slow down long enough to let me ask a few questions.... Oh welll his loss.

I don't own a Corvette yet, but my father does. His face lights up when anyone askes him about that car, and answers all questions with a smile. :cheers:

Just last weekend,a guy in a brand new F350 Superduty, complimented my quicksilver Z06, while we were stopped at a light. He (smilingly) asked if they are as fast as everyone says they are... My reply was that most are faster, with slight mods. He said chuckled and was cool with it.
I'm happy to give any of my neighbors a ride in it, ya know, it's too cool of a car to keep hidden from the rest of the world (unless it's raining)...

As the owner of a 2001, one of my greatest joys is talking to people about my new Corvette. I have taken so many people for rides I think the police are going to plant a car at the place I always zoom by. Corvettes are about American pride and the joy of the sport, not a vengeful rivalry.

I bought the car in Detroit, and rolled back through Bowling Green, and then through a fair amount of Tennesee. When I was in Tennesse, I hopped off the highway and found some really recently paved roads in the hills...
At my grandmother's 80th birthday all the fam came into town, and I put 200 miles on the car that saturday afternoon, giving all the cousins rides in the mighty Z06. Good thing I bought two helmets with me...if you're gonna do it, do it...
As for rollin through Tennesee again, it'll have to be on an upcoming Power Tour...

Down here in the S. Fl area there are a bunch of "non freindly" C5'rs. Sometimes I feel like an idiot waving and not getting the wave back.
