I am looking for a good cheap bra for my C5, basically for road trips only.
I don't want a permanent one for daily driving, just tired of scrubbing all the bugs off the nose after a long road trip. So I want one that I can just keep in the garage and throw on for a trip.
If you want one for the bug problem ...the stretch bra is the way to go. It's a stretchable fabric. Fits in a pouch the size of a sock. You can wash it to get the bugs off..May not do much for rock dings. I believe Vette Essentials sells them and maybe some other forum vendors.

with getting the GM bra - very good quality, fits very well, and costs about $85. I've been running one for 7 years and it still does the job of keeping rock chips and bugs off the paint - plus it does not flap at speed.

It's the best for the money. Order it from CF member Ken Fitchner.
Perfect fit, nice and snug. Can't beat the price.
Do a search and you will find countless positive threads about the GM bra.
Here's mine. I used screw in marine snaps in the front wheel wells in place of the snaps that GM provided. The marine snaps are easier to install since they screw right in.
The fit is precise. I use it mostly for highway trips and take it off often and clean and wax the area underneath thoroughly before and after each use. My car is black and shows no signs of abrasion or fading.
Thanks for the good information, I was hoping to get one without that hole for the license plate. Are all GM bras like that or can you get a solid one?
