I would like to do this. Does anyone know where I could obtain quicksilver spray paint that would match the car?

Thanks

no front plate...think it looks terrible on a vette and some other cars. I live in a communist state (Va.)....so I just risk it!

Default No plate...........

I've never had front plates on any Vette I've owned for close to thirty years in the three states that I've lived in , Kalifornia, Oregon and Soth Dakota( never really understood why they would be required , since the cops come up from BEHIND. ) So I can't help you there.

But the GM spray touch up paints are twice as expensive as say Dupli-color. I have a QuickSilver Z06 and Dupli-Color does not list that , but Galaxy Silver ( GM color) is the very same !! Dupli-Color number DSGM5010 . This a base coat and does require a clear top coat.

Where can I find a fold away plate, are they electric. I need one my license plate cover is my air for my inter cooler I did the screen conversion. A couple of weeks ago at our 1:oo am "car show" Johnny showed up and gave us all a visit about starting to crack down on front plates and tinted windows.. and our car shows.. I cant picture a yellow Z without dark tint

In MN any cover over the plate is illegal...even if it's clear. You can either run without a plate ,run with a flip up and hope they still don't tag you, Run with a plate but covered and hope they still don't tag you, some people run the ram air mesh intake look, or just put the plate on and not worry. I would either just not run one and hope to not get pulled over or run one and not worry.

Not sure yet if I will actually fit one, but it would be good to see how others have approached this without using the nasty black GM frame.

Thanks.
Cops only pull over hondas for no front plate, cops never even give this car a second look even with god awfully loud exhaust. I see one out out of a thousand vettes in CA with front plates. Dealers don't even sell them with front plates. If a cop pulls you over for no front plate in your vette, you were getting pulled over anyway.
