I bought my '03 Z in march '05 that had 4300mi and had it in for a check up at a dealer as it was under warranty. I was told that the column lock TSB was taken care of. So 3 plus years later I fire it up for a friend to hear the new blower for about 10min in the garage. Then 2 hours later another friend comes by and I want him to hear also. Put the key in and nothing not even a click click like the battery's dead. All the interior stuffs on the raptor even cycles. Do not think and or know it's not the battery. The security lights on now the whole time. Any suggestions? Can it really be the column lock?
Is its oe battery, you might want to replace it, I think batteries in general are only good for 4 or 5 years.
Maybe connect a jump box first and see if it cranks. If it was a CLB you would get the message pull key and wait.
Sometimes when the battery gets low on juice you can get funny codes.
these cars are very sensitive to voltage drops. Put a multi-meter on it and see what the voltage is and check to see what the voltage is under load(trying to start it) anything lower than 11 volts under load probably wont start the car.
I have cleaned the keys wit alcohol. Disconnected the ground overnight. Removed and checked every under hood fuse and pulled every relay. Gonna go put a jump box on it and see what happens. Any and all suggestions still welcome!
So what is my next move? Done all and everything ya'll said. I still won't ****ing start with a brand new A&A blower. It really looks fast sitting in the garage. It could beat anything on this forum right now hands down. Of course I'm just kidding around but I'm really pissed off. Seriously what do I do? Tow it to the dealer have it flashed and then have it towed to the cat who tuned it? Would be easy only he lives 75 miles from where my car is looking really fast. I am at a loss what do I do??????????? I'm ready to shoot myself.
It does not even click as though the battery is dead or low on voltage. Everything work's fine radio, shift light, radar, lights etc... Battery is not dead and it is an Optima red top. I need to check for codes. Could someone tell me the sequence of buttons to get the codes? I've only done it once a long time ago and do not remember. When I turn the key/key's it act's as though the clutch is not pushed in and I do have it pressed down. I will try to push start it when it get home from work. Anything else I can do? Thank you for all the input. I just want to go rage it!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a good reason to have a voltmeter--so EASY to check the battery--did he check it??
I know it's possible but not probable as I started it an hour before. I left the battery on the charger all night and still nothing this morning. But will check voltage anyway later.

If the simpler checks don't pan out, remember that the starter circuit is routed through the theft deterrent system which is mostly located in the BCM (Body Control Module). You won't get so much as a whimper from the starter/solenoid if the BCM says so. A dealer can read it.

Also, check the clutch interlock switch
If I take it to the dealer they are going to wipe out my blower tune right? If that happens I gotta go along way to get it tuned again which means tow and or trailer. If this is whats gonna make it run so be it but trying to avoid the dealer if possible.
