a\c help please !!!!!!!!!

I have an 01 Z06 and the a\c just suddenly stopped working, all the controls work fine but the compressor doesn't kick on any ideas?????

Start by checking the refrigerant charge level. A set of A/C gauges will tell you if your charge is too low which will in fact cause the compressor to NOT engage. I suggest you start there. Go for the easy stuff first

I have the exact same problem on my 01 Z, went to check the pressure in the A/C system and found zero, zip nada. Haven't yet investigated to find out where the charge went, but will report back when I find the cause.

Is the A/C light on the control lighting up? Does it flash and go out? Any codes?

I will be sure to check if there is any frion in the system a.s.a.p. no, there is no flashing lights on the hvac control unit, but I did not check for codes. thanx for the input
