Since you have a 98, you will get a warning message on your DIC every time you start the car. It can not be programed out like the later models can. But you can hit the reset and clear it. Not sure, but it may also give you reduced power and/or traction. The batteries last about 8 years so you are due for a new set of sensors or find someone to rebuild them. I rebuilt mine and they worked great so that is an option. Good luck.
