Steve, I agree. That's *almost* as bad as making assumptions before you have all the facts. :nono:
I haven't seen any false Z06 badges in this thread. I assure you that my convertible is a genuine Z06. Want me to send you a photo of the VIN??? Sheesh.
Re: Does a 2001 Z06 have removable top? (steve hummel)
Steve -- No worries. There *are* a lot of fakes running around out there so your suspicion is justified. Just so happens that Jon's and mine are real.
Dennis -- Yep, they didn't come from the factory that way. Just like the General doesn't put CNC heads and bigger cams in there, but that doesn't mean WE can't, right? :D I'd be interested to know which parts you've selected and why. I'll have those decisions to make soon myself.
All you have to do is to drive under a parked semi at about 120 mph. The top, including windshield, will be removed and you will get the feeling of an early model roadster. It is recommended that you wear a full face shield crash helmet and 5 point harness during this manuever. Be sure to duck just before striking the trailer. jerboa :)

Well- thought I'd ask, saw an advrtisement for a Z06 with "glass top". Since my understanding was that all 2001 Hard Tops are Z06's. Didn't know if there was a coupe-type top special order or something...
