Default Center Console

I am getting a console cover put on the console door and I was thinking of putting a red welt around the plastic piece in front of the door that the traction control button is in. I don't see how that piece would come out to put the welt in and I sure don't want to force anything. I've seen this welt in pictures and like it. Now, does anybody have this and how was it installed?
Thanks........Ron

Just came across this - http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-2-54-7808.html I'm sure a search of our vendor list will turn up other options.

Its just a clip at each side of the panel. Not sure if you can see it from this pic. Just lever it out gently with a flat bladed screwdriver. No need to even unclip the connectors to get the leather trim in there.

That panel just pops out and you can install the piece you are talking about and then pop the panel back in. Have done it with mine and it looks pretty good.
