1. If you like an exotic exhaust note, go Corsa Pace Car.
2. If you like a more muscle car sound, go Borla.
3. If you hate drone and want a near whisper cruise, go Corsa hands down.

He is exactly right. I had the Borlas on my daily driver Z06 and the drone got real old fast.
Went with the Indy and the drone is gone, and is a much better daily driver.
But when you want to be heard the Borla system is the way to go. It did sound real good.
I have the Borla XR-1 system and I love it. It comes with an internal xpipe/resonator. It does drone some but it provides a nice deep rumble. I took some sound clips today and I will post them as soon as they are uploaded. I would recommend it over the stingers if you could get your hands on one.
I have Borla stingers on mine and my friend has corsa. He has more of an exotic sound and fairly quiet at low speed. My borla has a bit more growl to it and I love how it sounds when yoy let off the gas with out the clutch. I heard somewhere that the borla has a little less restriction and may flow a bit more air, but that may not be true. If you go to midamerica motorsports they have an area in the c-5 exhaust section that will let you test the different sounds and give you all the info on H.p air flow etc.
I've owned both over the past year and currently have the Corsa Pace car exhaust. The Borlas were louder, but the Corsa still has a nice deep tone to it too. The Borlas were a bit too loud around town for my taste. The biggest difference is the drone when cruising on the highway. Very noticeable with the Borlas, but none with the Corsas.
I thought they would be done by now....I used a buddy's camera and he was supposed to upload them to his youtube account but I guess they haven't been done yet. He gets off work at 5 c.t. so hopefully he will get those put up or I will just ask him to email them so I can put them on my photobucket account. Sorry bout the delay
If you have heard both in person, I would also take a ride in a car wtih each those exhaust. That is the best way to tell. Everyone's ears are different... drone that might bug me, may not seem loud to you etc..
Most comments posted here are pretty accurate, Corsa is a higher pitch exotic sound, Borla is more deep tone. Personally I dont like the way the Corsa's sound, and even less stock without headers. You cant really hear them unless you really hit the throttle..again JMO. I've also had both of these systems on my car at one point in time.
From the responses, it sounds like either of the Borla systems is more what I'm after. I just didn't want to purchase a system and it hardly be noticeable over stock. The deeper, muscle-car sound is more what I'm after.
Now to just find a used system for a decent price!
Thanks for all of your feedback guys, its really helped me decide!!!
YEAH! I like it. I have been watching alot of sound clips and that was a good one. The pull away was good.
What do you think the difference in sound is between the stingers and the xr-1? Why would you recommend the one over the other?
Someone do the right thing and give me your exhaust! Help a needy c5 guy already.
I feel they are pretty similar in sound but i love the balanced sound of the xr-1 plus it has the xpipe incorporated. Stingers are awesome though but I just like the idea of not having to purchase an xpipe along with the catback for the same performance gain as the XR-1 system. That is my two cents.
This thread has it covered... Borlas are deeper and more muscular with a little drone, but nothing compared to the drone of straight pipes or the flowmasters I had back in the day on my '97 Cobra Mustang.
After putting my cam in the Borlas got stupid loud, so I put on a set of Corsa indys. They were very quiet at cruise w/o any drone, but at idle they sounded like more of a motorboat. At WOT they shrieked and I loved the sound. I wouldn't say I like it more than the Borla sound at WOT, they're equally good but different. One unexpected negative of going to the Corsas is that I all of a sudden heard all the little trim creaking noises I hadn't heard with the slight Borla drone.
I pulled the Corsas off as I grew tires of the tips not staying in allignment and I prefered th large 2 tips on my Stingers. My car is not a DD so the stingers stay. If it were a DD I'd have my stock Ti catback with some cutouts.
Here's my car at idle just after finishing up the G5-X2 cam. It has kooks 1 3/4ths headers w/ cats and x-pipe to the Stingers.
