I just recently purchased my first c5. A 2001 w/ the 12 disc Bose cd changer. The magazine (cartridge) is missing. I've foung one replacement on the ecklers site, but want to know if there are any better deals out there. Can you use a different brand as a replacement? The 99$ ecklers wants seems a little steep for a cd changer magazine. Any help would be appreciated.
I did extensive research trying to find the source(s) for additional CD magazines when I installed a CD changer in my Z16.
If you care to search in C5 Tech or C5 General, use my user name and keywords "cd changer" or "cd changer magazine" or "cd changer cartridge" and you'll probably find the past posts of mine. They were long, with multiple source names, part numbers, prices, etc.
Otherwise, the suggestion above to buy from MID AMERICA MOTORWORKS is a good price. Everything I found was over $50 not including shipping.
Just want to thank everyone for the info. The 2001 will be my second corvette, my first was a '77, and it's true, the corvette community is alive and well regardless of which year you own and(hopefully) drive. Regardless, I'll look into the pioneer on the "big auction site" and see if it will work in my bose cd changer. Also, if anyone happens to be selling one, please pm me with the info and price.
