Default heater problem

When i turn on the heat, the fan barely works but as i turn the temp down the fan kicks on more and more and finally to full blast when its hard over cold. im pretty sure it doesnt even put any air out at all when its turned to full hot.

i know there is heat so must be a fan problem or something because when i wouldnt leave it alone on the drive home the other night.. somehow while the AC was on and i kept turning from cold to hot to cold and back and forth, heat started coming out at full cold position. turned it off for a few and it went back to AC.

any ideas? thanks

Dont think it's a fan problem as much as a fan control problem...Does your car have dual-zone (seperate temp controls for driver and passenger)???

If you ever had the leaking battery problem, check the line that supplies vacumn to the vent doors. It runs under the battery from the back of the intake to a cannister behind the right front wheel well.

Mine puts the AC on every time I turn it on, and if I want heat at the time doesnt seem to blow warm air. Works fine when I want AC, a little annoying when I want heat.

I usualy just take it off auto (hit mode button till its showing anything but defrost), then when I turn temp up I get heat.
