Ok, not literally, but my C5 needs some TLC. For starters, the molding that goes around the bottom of the windshield is dry rotted and falling off the car. Can anyone direct me to a place where I can pickup a new one? And, yesterday, I removed my side molding, but the glue is left over. I'm afraid that if I try to remove it with alcohol, the paper towels will scratch the **** out of my door and leave me tons of swirl marks. Is this something a professional detailer should be able to remove? Can anyone recommend one in the NJ area? And lastly, my HUD as seen in the pics, has a cracked/rotted piece on the front of it, any idea on what it is and how I can replace it? I'm guessing it's just because of its age and direct contact with the sun over the years. Also, does anyone know where I can get the front license plate cover surround that surrounds the front plate with a nice clean factory painted border? I need one in black, and mid america says they're all on backorder...
Is your weatherstripping rotting or just pulling away from the windshield? My seal was fine, but it was pulling away from the window. I got some black silicone adhesive from that auto parts store and simply glued mine back into position.
Dude! Good luck with the glue, should find a place to park car that is under some sort of roof. Always garage keep a car you want to last for a while without any of that dry rot going on!!

thanks, but I gotta work with what I got, and I don't have a garage unfortunately, she sleeps outside 24/7. I'll try the WD-40 and see how it works, and the windshield trim is rotted out

Check with Gene Culley for the parts. If anybody has it, he will.

The license plate trim you're talking about is a "Smoothie". They really enhance the look if you have to put a front license plate on your C5. You can buy them in all major factory colors from Corvette Central, just search for 'smoothie' on their site. I know you can buy them elsewhere too, but the pricing for these is usually pretty consistent.
