I have it on my 02, but don't use it for daily driving. I turn down the brightness to zero most of the time. A nice novelty but I could do without it. I wish I had night vision instead like the Cadillac, now that would make a nice black out driver. Think about it - no lights at 80 mph!
i was not intending to do this on the street. Just a interesting idea. Nightvision in the fog would be a big help though.
As far as the running lights are concerned its not too hard to disable them with a resistor bypass. I have not done it since they are valuable in senior citizen Florida.
Unfortunately the hud is standard. On a performance car like the z06 I would prefer to skip hud and spend the money where it would improve performance .While they are at it gm should offer a bypass on the cags.
Yes, the C5 Corvette comes with daytime running lamps..............secondly,the HUD is standard for '02,personally I love the HUD as my eyes stay on the road now when racing fever hits me(and it does, often). A great decision by GM I think.......
Zman
I agree with you! My wifes 2001 coupe has it and when I drive her car I always say I wish my 99 had it! I think it is an nice option. Plus like someone else mentioned, you don't like it, just turn it off!
