Default Problems getting Black Cherry Halos flush mounted.

I tried to use the acrylic spacers that were with my old Euros, but the housing of the Halos is shaped different and they don't fit.

WHAT kit are you using for your Halo or LED tails for flush mounting?

Thanks.

They're made that way on purpose, because it's a mistake to flush mount LED tail lights. Unlike regular bulbs with diffusers (which radiate a broad beam), LEDs are highly directional. Flush mount kits change the angle of the lamp assembly, and your tail lights are no longer aimed squarely at oncoming traffic... which kinda defeats the purpose of having tail lights

You'll have to fabricate your own spacers if you insist on flush mounting.

I've never heard of that..
How much can the angle be changed, your just bringing out the lens a bit to be flush with the fasica.. Its not that much of a dramatic difference in the angle between stock & flush. (is it??)

Not flush any more..
Something about the darker lenses being flush just didn't look right, so I removed the spacers & have them as stock recessed is..

I'd think they would look much better this way anyway..

LEDs are in fact much more directional than an incandescent bulb, believe it or not. That doesn't mean that the light emitted is a vector or anything. Compare the light from a "naked" LED and a "naked" light bulb and see for yourself. As to whether or not it's unsafe to flushmount them, I don't know.

They look better in the stock configuration anyway, IMHO.
