Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced rotor that performs well and won't rust? When I bought my car last year the previous owner put new rotors on but the rotor hats look like hell I really noticed them when I swapped the original wagon wheels out for a set of thin spokes. Suggestions greatly appreciated
Well you can get rotor hats in red, black or chrome from Ecklers. I got the black ones. They have held up well after the past two years. I got GM Durastop Rotors and they rust like no buddies business. Or you can get new rotors I have seen Powerslot Cadmium plated rotors after a couple of years on C5's that look pretty good still. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. You can always take them off and paint as well, but they usually end up rusting after a bit too. Good luck on your choice. Don
The best corrosion-resistance is accomplished by cadmium-plating the rotors. Zinc washing won't last nearly as long. PowerSlot rotors are certainly among the best out there and while not inexpensive, they will probably be the last rotors you have to buy.

I bought some from a store on flea bay. I was in the same posistion went from wagon wheels to zo6 wheels and the rusted rotors looked liked $hit. these look alot better.
exactly what I went with, however the fire path will still rust and will look bad until you hit the brakes and then no more rust.
You know you can paint your current rotors with high temp paint. You don't even have to worry about over-spray on the fire path since the first time you apply the brakes it will burn off.
