I get quite markedly different tire pressure readings from a digital gauge to my onboard readout. I'm going with the gauge, my car is eight years old and it should be more accurate at the wheel, should it not?
DIC is awesome, just make sure you TPS are working good also. Don't know about when they start to fail, but since I will be getting new wheels and tires this year may as well throw some of those on the "To Buy List" also.
I use a nice round guage I bought and it is spot on, I also find that my DIC is spot on also. I myself never did like the digital gauges.
Get a good dial type analog gauge and dump the digital. I too have not found the digital gauges I've had in the past to be all that accurate.
Of the gauges I now own, one of my favorites and one that I carry in the C5 all the time is an Accu-Gage H60X. The hose type gauges are great for hard to reach valve stems. You should be able to find one of these for around $20 more or less and I've found them to be very accurate for the price. Mine is always right on with the DIC. Too, I've compared it a number of times with a friends glycerin filled professional analog gauge for which he paid over $200. My Accu-Gage has been right on with his every time.

When I replaced tires last fall I also replaced the tire pressure sensors. Bought the tires online and had a Goodyear store mount the tires. When I picked up the car the service tech said he also calibrated the tire pressure sensors. I did not know this was possible. I have never read a post that has mentioned calibrating the TPS. You may want to call a Goodyear store and ask if they perform this service.

Did they charge you for this service? There is no such thing as calibrating the tire pressure sensors.
