Damaged Magnesium Wheels
It only tool a very brief loss of concentration but I did it, I managed to scrape the curb with my right front wheel and damage the rim of my magnesium wheel.
Besides being totally PO'ed, now I have to decide how to fix this problem. Can magnesium wheels be refinished? Are there any alternatives? Any suggestions would be most helpful.

I feel your pain!
I have done the same thing, not once but twice!!!! The second day I had my car, I pulled to close to a curb and rashed my front rim and just a few weeks ago I hit a curb and did the other side! 
I was so mad at myself! I never really fixed either side but just from washing and polishing you can't really tell.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune! In the future, you can also consider purchasing tires with a rim guard. (not that it helps you, now) I'd rather shred a tire than ruin a wheel.
I had a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S tires on another car and they had this feature.
