Default Q: Leahter Wrap....everything?

Hey guys,

So, i've been looking at a ton of awesome interiors recently, but i've noticed a trend...

I don't think anyone has tried leatherwrapping all their disgusting, sun faded dark plastic vinyl layer. So, my question is...

Is there a person with a totally revamped and leather-wrapped-onto-vinyl interior? And, where would I go to leather wrap the dark plastic stuff? TIA guys

Yeah thats also what im considering, the cost......although, Caravaggio does seem to have high-quality products. Seats are amazing too.

I had my console leather wrapped. The dash pad would be a whole new ball game

A tricky and expensive project.

In a recent edition of Corvette Quarterly, the mag describes the new-for-2008 4LT leather-wrap interior option for the C6. Leather is wrapped around stock pieces and in some places the leather is 'shaved' to a mere 1 millimeter thickness to make sure part will still fit correctly. Gotta have some wicked skills (and nerves o' steel) to accomplish that.

Agreed it is way too expensive, but you do get what you pay for in this arena.

No ones looks anything like Caravaggio's unfortunately. I have seen a few others and this stuff is just perfect.

About 1/10th of the cost by my calculations. Sure it's not perfect, but I'm going to have 1 piece re-done, and I'll be happy with it. I don't have any pics yet, but I'll try to get some up soon. All I did was take some pictures of what I wanted to a local upholstery guy.

I had some pieces wrapped in carbon fiber leather and suede and are trying to lay out a design for the rest of the interior now.

Styling'! Must have been a small fortune to do that though.....but I think if you keep going with that format, you've got a winner!

I had C5KIDD do it, it wasn't that bad of a price. Doing the whole thing will not be cheap but I'm trying to space it out piece by piece so it's not so bad.

I have!! Well...It's still under work!! I'll post pictures once I get the car back. I actually had the entire interior....I mean everything!!! But the first hot day, the glue started coming off!!! Thankfully the upholsterer stood by his work and will redo the car. I modified my console to take a double din AVIC D3 and then covered it. Looks great. It actually looks the way the car should have been factory. It's a tricky and lengthy process but well worth it.

I'm very pickey with my cars. The only vendor that does it 100% is Caravaggio, everything else has flaws. I wish I had the money, but it's not that important to me.

You are 100% right!! I'm also very picky about cars so it took some time before I was able to look over some of the flaws. The upholsterer is redoing the doors, dash, and a few other parts but I'm hoping he does a better job. Caravaggio is incredible...but so it's the price
