Default Another "How much HP tread"

My car is going in for a cam upgrade. I've decided to do cams before headers . I just couldn't stand the fact that the 02-04 Zs have bigger cams . I'll be doing headers and clutch by the end of the year. Well, my car is an 01 Z with a K&N Intake. I'm having 228/232 cams and ported intake manifold & throttle body put in. How much rwhp should I be expecting?

Around 405 to the wheels on a dynojet. Do I win anything if I get the closest to the actual number?

Maybe 20-25 hp.....thats a mild cam and with no headers it won't get even close to 400 rwhp......maybe 355 rwhp plus or minus a few.............. I don't want any more mother in laws...........

I'll throw in my ex-wife. Hey, I know what -- 1st Prize wins the mother-in-law. 2nd Prize wins the mother-in-law AND the ex-wife.

355? He has that already. I'd say 390'ish with just the cam. 415-420 once he does the headers.

His post says 01 ZO6. Thats about 330 rwhp. Remember he's starting w/385 FWHP. Besides, I don't want to win any prizes..........
An 03 ZO6, which I own, on a honest DynoJet, with AHR's w/cats and a Comp Cam 228/232 114 lsa xer lobe, put down 410 rwhp. Most mild cams w/headers run high 300's to low 400's rwhp, and that depends alot on the header.
I now have added ls6 ported heads with 2.04 valves, a ported Fast 90/ls2 tb and honker, w/new rockers and got 455 rwhp & 415 rwtq.
Others with my setup are all in the same range. As long as my right foot doesn't start dancing, my crusing gas mileage has remained about the same, 27-28 mpg.
With just that cam, he won't add much, better to do headers and cam at the same time, you will save some bucks. Just my 2 cents which has cost me priceless fun.
