Just received a Direct-Lift Pro 9F two-post lift today.
I bought it thru Greg Smith Equipment.
Those guys were very helpful, shipped yesterday, picked it up at the carriers dock today!
It really is a very heavy duty piece of equipment, at a great price point.
Should be installing it in about two weeks-have to let the concrete fully cure.
Just a heads-up for anyone considering a lift.

So you actually got a chance to walk thru the showroom.
I almost drove down there to pick mine up.
I wanted to see their store, but driving back thru New York during traffic kept me from doing it.
The install does look pretty straightforward, just wish I didn't have to wait two more weeks!

The show room was very nice. they had a lot of nice looking stuff there and several of their lifts set up. I bought a lot of things when I was up there. lift, oil drain, pair of axel stands and floor jack. this was about 4 months ago and the only problem I've had is with the floor jack, it is junk. but everything else worked out great. I was little worried about buying off the all name stuff but I was told by their sales guy that their lift are made by rotary. So anyway I've had good luck with the stuff I bought.
Yes, I do believe the lifts are made by the same company that makes Rotary.
GSE's website has some of that info on it, I guess it is the parent companyof Rotary, Dover, that runs the whole thing.
I bought 3 months ago an 8,000 lb. 4 post lift. I have a 12 1/2' ceiling. And this is one of the best investments I ever made. Bought it from Greg Smith in Del. [ NO TAX IN DEL ] so the cost was exactly $1,645.00 I picked it up ,and a friend of mine and myself put it together in about 4 1/2 hours. Works great, plus the hydralics and piston are made in the USA. They do great business. They should be a vendor on this forum. They would make a killing!!!!!!!! thumbs up for a terrific Co. making a quality product!!! ps. gotta love the 4 caster wheels for movability!!!!
A word of advice to anyone thinking about buying a lift from any vendor - don't wait too long as steel prices continue to rise, which will result in the price of that lift you're looking at to go up too.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I just emailed Gavin at greg smith. He is the salesman I delt with over in Delaware. I sent him a link to this post and told him maybe he should see how he can become a supporting vendor so he can market here. All the people I spoke to their were great. Anyway I guess we'll see if he joins or chimes in..

Ray
I agree.
The price went up $100 two weeks before I ordered mine!
They were able to take a deposit to hold the price, but I'd imagine they wouldn't hold it for too long.
They did say they are expecting another price increase!
The only concern I had with twin post lifts was that the suspension, wheels, and tires hang instead of carrying the weight of the car. I wonder if this can cause damage to the shocks over time. Of course using it only for work and not storage is not an issue. I have a four post lift.
I didn't buy mine for storage.
I chose the two post because it is much easier to get the entire driveline out without the ramps in the way.
I wouldn't mind having another 4-post for storage, but I just don't have the room.
I got my 4 post lift from Greg Smith. They were extremely halpful and organized both delivery directly to my house as well as installation for next to nothing.
Congrats - installing a two post lift is a life changing event....
I have had one in my garage for about three years, and I have had countless Corvettes on it - C3s thru C6's, and this past week we did a manual to auto conversion on a Nissan 300 turbo drag car....
It's nice to do oil changes, but also - with a nice trans jack and some hoist supports - also a breeze to do diffs, transaxles, rear suspension cradles etc....
Congrats - I know what is in store for you and it is good!
