Okay thats what I figured, noone is paying attention to that small detail of the coolant tank for the maggie in the battery compartment so you need something more compact. You could also post a thread over in the Forced Induction section here and see what battery the guys with Magnachargers are running. Like I said, I think my buddy is running a delco battery, but I am pretty sure it does not have the spec you are looking for..although he does have a stereo and sub in his car and it seems to work fine.

Good luck

Check out Autocraft Titanium battery at Advance Auto. Comes with 50% more CA and CCA than OEM. Has top and side posts. 3 year free replacement.

problem is with the magnacharger cooler that sits on the battery, i cant have top posts.

so basically i am needing something compact, something spill proof, something that has good CCAs, something with a good reserve time, and lastly and most important something that has a side mount without top posts

OR, spend $250? for an Optima with a crummy 2 year warranty. Yes, Optima is gel and "leak proof". People swear by them and they look pretty for $250. My 8-year Duralast has a pretty "yellow top" too. Whoopie.
I have never had problems with Duralast. I can't say that about the leaking Delco I just pulled out of my acid-damaged Silverado.
It's just a battery, not a contest to see who can spend more. Spend $90 and be good for 7-8 years.
+1 I agree, best damn battery for the money, no headaches, excellent service, available anywhere, 8 year warranty, I've got them in 3 of my vehicles, including my '97 F-250 which is driven 3000 miles per year, AND NEVER FAILS TO START FIRST CRANK, and of course lives outdoors!

Yellow or red top Optimas are great! I bought red top for $150.00 at Standard auto parts and use the stock LS1 altenator. Been pushing over 2000 watts with no issues for the last 2 1/2 years. I think pretty much any battery will work fine with a good capacitor or isolator to keep the lights from dimming and help keep the battery charged.
