I bought the Black Chrome inserts from Chip about a month ago. They are real quality and easy to install. I removed my existing SS ones with a hairdryer and carefully pulling off. I think they look awesome on pewter.

Here are some pics I took with at different lights and angles.

I ordered two sets - one for Mrs. Patches' Black C5 and one to replace the SS set on my TR coupe. Installed hers the other day but haven't gotten to mine yet.
