The wife and I went out to dinner last night, 22nd anniversary, wow, it was the perfect evening. The temp. was 78, had the top out, just enjoying the cruise, and then, bam-the corvette gremlins bit me in the a**. My speedometer just went to 0. All other gauges worked fine. I also noticed the instant mpgs stopped working as well as the trip odometer. Any ideas? By the time I got home, the speedometer started working again, but it's only a matter of time before the comes back!
Check the connector on the transmission. I don't remember which one it is as there is more than one, but its probably loose or bad contacts. Someone else here will know if its the right or left side connector.
Is that going to require dropping the trans to replace?
No.......but if the connector isnt loose or disconnected I would have the car scanned before I spent $$ on a sensor..Most electrical parts cant be returned if they dont cure the problem....
