Looking for a forum member

I vaguely remember his name to be Walter. I don't remember his last name or his screen name here over the forum. I remember he drove a 2002 Electron Blue Z06 to the meeting point. I have over 6700 PMs in my Inbox but they don't go far back enough
He drove 2100 miles (round trip) in 49 hours (including 6 hours of sleep or so at one of my hotels), picked up the wheels from me at midnight, slept for 5 or 6 hours, packed the wheels in freezing cold in the morning and took them directly to his study
If that is NOT crazy enough, check this out!
The date and time he showed up at the meeting point was 11:56 PM 12/31/2004

So Walter, if you survived the trip and the wife, please contact me. I have something important "C5 related" for you!

Hi Nouman,
It was great to meet you. You really made this a great experience. The wheels are exactly what I wanted. Nouman, your gift of the room, the Z06 scale model, and bubble wrap was so very helpful and thoughtful. Thank you! I slept great and got the wheels bundled so well that they rode home without touching anything except thick folded blankets or bubble wrap. They are here in my study (at home). Only car guys understand having car parts inside the house occasionally.
The trip went well. St. Louis was easier on the return trip. Mostly drivers were very courteous and I got several thumbs up of approval for the Z06. Caught light rain across Missouri changing to moderate and heavy along I-57 and on across Tennessee. Took several coffee breaks and caught a nap for about an hour at a friendly little market in east Tennessee. When I woke up, it was daylight and the rain had stopped. Found a pistol type spray wash to clean some of the road grime off the car and made it home by 1:15 PM EST.
These are truly wonderful cars. They are comfortable, the cruise control works great, the range and gas mileage are fantastic. I covered about 2100 miles in 49 hours because the Z06 is an absolute joy to drive. Last year I went through the interior and installed sound deadening material to reduce the tire noise. Mostly credit goes to Dave Hill and the team who designed the C5. They are really outstanding vehicles.
In short I had a blast and throughly enjoyed meeting you, getting the beautiful wheels, and making the trip. Thanks again for the wheels and your generous hospitality. All my best wishes to you and your family for 2005.
Cordially,
