Perhaps I fail at using the thread search but i certainly could not find a DIY thread on removing the exhaust / installing the new. I just received my Corsas and can not wait to get them on. I was going to do it myself, however, I do not know if i can if there is cutting involved. Can anyone help me out on what is involved?
If you're gonna do it yourself you may have to cut the stock exhaust off (assuming it's the stock exhaust). You need to raise the rear about 3 feet to take the stock exhaust out in tact. I tried raising mine that high but got cold feet....it becomes scary unstable after a certain height. I got out my hacksaw and cut the stock muflers out (I was never putting them back on again anyway).
I bought Granatelli. They have a 'how to' on their website. Probably Corsa does too.
I am going to be doing the same install later today except with the SLP loudmouth. I called around today inquiring about price to have someone else do it and I have been quoted anywhere from $100-150. For that price I will try and do it myself.
I plan to pull out the old dremmal tool and cut away. No way I am putting the car 3ft in the air. So wish me luck later.

Seriously.
Don't put the car up that far in the air.
Just take a sawz-all and cut right behind the mufflers. It will come right out...
Also don't take both bolts off the muffler hangers. It is an upside down U and if you push it up into the fender you are SOL...
I just put on a B&B bullet exhaust yesterday, it was on friends 4 post hoist and it still did not want to come off, so, like everyone else is saying, cut it off a few inches after the muffler with a hack saw. Remember, sparks and fuel don't mix, so don't go making too many sparks. At the factory, they put the exhaust on before the axle.... It is A B****. Total time, 1 hour on the hoist, 55mins to take off the stock exhaust, 5 mins to put the new exhaust on. Thats why all the new exhausts are 2 pieces per side, not one piece like stock....
Without a hoist, you'll question was doing it yourself worth it. Too much pain, too little savings. If you can afford a sportcar over 20K at least, whats another 100 bucks.
Anyway, good luck. The exhaust sound really does makes the car come alive.
Dont forget to unbolt the rear swaybar and swing it down to get more working room. Also if you have a automatic, you need to remove the right heat shield from the gas tank. Without doing this it will be next to impossible to get the exhaust tube out. David
We did 2 in one evening in my friends driveway. We put the fro ten don ramps.
Made a sandwich lifting pad 2x6 top and bottom srewed to a 4x4 center.
Put that pad on top of the floor jack and lifted to the max.
IT was enough to take the stock exhasu tout in one piece.
I think the bottom of the rear fascia was about 28 inches off the ground.
you need to loosen and pull down the rear sway bar, removing the gas tank shields will help on an MN6 and is necessary on an A4.
IT is a high lift and you have to make sure the front wheels dont roll back off the ramp as you lift.
Here is the exhasut gasket you need ... under $1 at most auto parts stores....
Here are a few sites I used when I did my own Corsa install. The only thing I would have done different is.... CUT them. I got it up high enough to roll them out and held my breath. Now they are just one big piece of scrap metal instead of 2.
