2002 cold start up - noisey??

i use mobil1 10/30 also. i think this is something you have to live with.

That might be your problem. It calls for Mobil1 5/30. It will make a difference.

How'd you fix it? I too have the clicking on cold starts. ('01 A4 with 66k)

BTW I see you're from BF. I used to live off shoup.

i know 5/30 or 10/30 would not make the difference for this condition.

I fixed it by installing a 427 in place of the stock engine.

The forged pistons that I have now make less noise than the stock engine did.

I live just south of Shoup near Vollmer and Burgess. Small world...
