problem with HUD bezel/Dash Pad
I just noticed that the bezel from my HUD is starting to separate from my dash. My 2000 FRC came with the HUD installed from the factory. Here is a pic below (1st time posting a pic). Anyone else have this problem? Is there an easy way to fix this?

Am I the only one with this problem on a factory installed HUD? I am hoping that this will be an easy fix as opposed to having to tear apart the dash. Bueller, Bueller???

Thank you for posting. I can see the trim piece. If anyone has a pic from the front, that would be great. A part number for this trim would be much appreciated also.

Heres a pic from above I just took.
On a second look it may be just that your dash pad has been badly cut or the trim has slipped. Hard to see from you original picture.

Looks like your bezel is fine, but heat has probably caused the slip...
Unfortunately, you're going to have to remove the dash pad to attempt a fix, no way around it. If you're lucky, you can simply adjust the bezel and reinstall. More likely, looks like you'll have to slot the holes holding it, and reinstall about 1/4" closer to the steering wheel.
Best of luck!

Hi Josh. Thank you for the info. I was thinking that the heat was causing my dash area to warp, and maybe that my sunshade was somehow contributing to the bezel shifting. Someone mentioned that you have detailed install instructions for HUD. Do you have it posted online somewhere? Also, do you know anyone in SoCal that can help me repair?

Looks like the outer skin on the dash is shrinking.
Did you ever use Armor-All on it?

I rarely use it. Maybe twice a year. Is it good or bad for the dash? I use a sunshade everyday also. Wow, can that really happen? Yikes.

bump to the top^^^. Need to know if this can be fixed, how to fix, or if I need to buy a new dash pad.

Not sure of how to adjust the HUD bezel. I guess I am going to search for a replacement dash pad or buy a dash cover (yuck). Never liked dash covers, but at least it might prevent further damage to my dash. Thanks to everyone that helped me.

Per above
More likely, looks like you'll have to slot the holes holding it, and reinstall about 1/4" closer to the steering wheel. It's a fixable problem, it's just going to take a few hours of ingenuity to get it right.
Oh, and yes, that could easily be caused by Armor All...

Did you get the car wet? You know Corvetes melt if they get wet right?
OK, jokes aside. Pull the dash pad, its likely a very easy fix w/ some epoxy. Once you have it off it will be very easy to see what you need to do.
