Just had it locked up on me. Dealer is going to have the car for a week on monday, too late for me to put CLB on it since dealer wont let me go in and put it on it. Jack*ss. An, its hell and im going to have to pay 180$, so consider putting it on, due to the policy in february that ended the recall your going to have to pay unless you get a dealer you know.
I have only had my 2001 coupe mn6 for a year now,
yesterday it locked up and sent the "service code" and "10 sec. code"...
I was able to jerk the wheel loose and drive it home, where it sits waiting for the CLB from Houston....
The previous owner had a re-call done a few years ago..
now I have to figure out to install the new CLB with the re-call work,
or un-install the dealership work...
i thank every one who has voted so far. i have 2000 frc with 11600 miles trying to decide to install clb bypass. i had a 1986 vette with the dreaded vats problem. i thought it might been complicated to put in poll about replaced clb because of problem or replaced clb for peace of mind. my 2000 has had bcm replaced and reprogramed in oct 2003, and reprogramed again in sept 2004.
