2001 Z06
I've always loved the early models. I have a 60 and a 64. I've never owned anything newer than a 95. I always wondered why anyone would spend 50k on a new one when they could have a classic, probably an NOM classic, but a classic nonetheless for the same price......then it happened. I was involved in an accident a couple weeks ago and my truck had to go the body shop. Although my cars are great drivers, they just aren't suitable for my sales job.....so.......my dad loaned me his Z06 to drive until my truck is back. I never had ANY interest in driving this car. C5's never interested me because of the sheer numbers of them on the road. My opinion of this car changed the minute I pulled it out of the driveway.....this is a car that only has 3,000 miles on it. You read that correctly....only 3,000 miles. It still smells like a new car. OMG this car is so damn fun to drive. It's refined enough for grocery shopping yet evil enough to be a beast at the track.....I'm in love with this car.....I don't think I'm gonna return it.....

I had a 78 4-speed Vette before my 01 Z06.... I really wish I still had my C3 but the C5Z is world better in driveability and comfort. Also the 78 averaged 15 mpg, the 01 averages 24 mpg!!!
