I have a 99 coupe with very few mods 37K on the clock with 315 gears(auto). K&N dual cone and Borla exhast. I am going to do an LS6 intake and headers in the winter for sure. I found a little extra money in the honey pot and I plan on buying one of the two now and the other later. Which one should I do first. I know I will need a tune too. Should I apply one of them now or just wait until I get both and get a tune? What are the benefits between long tubes and shorties? Thanks for your help.

LG longtubes, high flow cats, VR intake and a tune, and I made 340 wheel horsepower through my A4 trans with 3.15 gears. Do it all at once, a tune these days is about 700 dollars.
Last year I added 3.73 gears and 3200 converter, many new miles of smiles.
Don’t waste money on shorties.
Long tubes and high flow cats will increase sound if you have a catback on that 99.
