They are obviously painted with Cerma-Chrome paint. This is often used to paint headers and give them a ceramic coating. We use the paint on some heat shielding at work. Looks exactly the same.
Bought a pint of Aluminun paint at Ace. Painted the caliper bracket and the outside and inside dia. of rotor. Left the caliper red. Total cost about $5 and 3 hrs. labor. Looks good to me!!
Yes I think you used the wrong term. These are not Chrome but look to be powder coated what is called "Almost Chrome" . My caliper brackets are done in this very color and look the same. I actually had the calipers them selfs done in a candy red. I think Photobucket is screwed but try this. None the less if they are not just painted they are definately powder coated. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rontcover1.jpg
I obviously know that my new calipers arent true chrome i only paid what you would normally pay for a good powdercoating with no core charge. Regardless im real happy with the way they they turned out and the cf member i bought them from advertised them as chemi-chrome and its a chrome like powdercoating. true chrome calipers are a bit out of my price range so this the route i took with what i again say had great results. I also invested in some good rim cleaner for those who noticed that they were dirty!!!
I'm sorry, but i don't think that these: (Smooth Shiny Chromey)
Look anything like these: (Lumpy, Bumpy, ???)
What happened? They can't posssibly be the same caliper
I bet the calipers in the first pic would look awesome on black CCW's with chrome lip. The first set looks incredible

Good job, But to me they seem like just silver paint, Do you have a better picture? What I see I wouldn't call chrome. But they do look good
they are not "painted", they are ceramic chrome. the process is similar to jet-hott. one of the best features besides the look is the fact that they dissapate heat and that also the coating is nearly indestructable- not to mention the price versus-chrome plating --thanks for posting the pictures--
