On 2 occasions now I have had the car on Accessory listening to the music while adding some goodies and twice the battery has drained...fast.
I usually have the back hatch, hood and as I said music on.
Should the battery drain as quick as 15 minutes.
Its a 2004 with the original AC Delco.
Am I just using up too much resources or is the battery going south?
Thanks to all,
David
I have changed my oil, Cleaned my engine compartment while the music is on and never an issue, Sometimes the music is on over an hour, I would have your battery checked, AutoZone will check them for free.

Ok, thanks for the input, this is probably what I will do. I wouldn't think that the battery should drain that fast, so lets hope thats what it is.
Oh you guys are going to get a kick outta this one.
So I pull my 2000 GMC up to the garage to listen to music, so I do and then after a while I say to myself, "I better start it up so I don't have another episode."
I go in and of course...click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-
It also has the stock AC Delco...jeez guess I'm not supposed to work and play music today...
Hi, yes it seems that your battery has got to the point that it can't hold a full charge. I know how you feel, last august I replaced 3 batteries, on my 03 vette, outback wagon, and chrysler 300. All within a week of each other. The vette failed suddenly, and I had to make a change in a supermarket parking lot. Previous owner never used a maintainer, and it was a very low mileage car. The other 2 I changed because I knew they were getting to the point of unreliability in terms of years used, about 7 years old.
FWIW I put a Delco in the vette, and subaru, and an Optima in the chrysler, only because I couldn't find a Delco that would fit the Chrysler.
Good Luck.
My understanding is these cars will drain about an amp of juice a day with the car just sitting. So the electrical system is really stressed and the battery most of all. As others have said new battery time.
