Question to MODS.
I was wondering why the posting rules say you can't post things about eBay in your posts when eBay is an ad sponsor? But you can talk about the Venders? eBay must support this site also. Doesn't seem right to me, Maybe a good explanation will help me understand. This is C5 related.
Just wondering.
Thanks.
Bill
I'm sure you will get some responses about it . I've actually bought items off the( auction site )and some of these same people selling are forum vendors too. I was always curious that some won't even mention (the auction site) by name . Ive found some good bargains for the corvette. Is that possible" bargains" ???
I'm not a moderator, but I recall from numerous past similar questions, it was pointed out that a member cannot provide a direct link to their personal EBAY auction(s) to promote their sale. That seems to be the key phrase.
I also recall that a member might be able to provide only an auction number or specific search keywords which are not a direct link (as a reference to a question) but it shouldn't be to promote their sale.
And, if a member were trying to point out something or ask a specific question and there is no other image source, that an EBAY link would be ok to refer to.
You might send a PM to an administrator or moderator to get more definitive answers.

From what I understand, Commercial Vendors can post links and yes you can find some good deals. However, most people post their goods in the FS sections.
