I think 24 or 25 from a dealer is what you will pay for the car. I bought a 99 vert with 18k from a private party for $22 and if the dealer had it it would have been $25. I'm sure the car is cherry but here are a few items you will add- wheels (wagons suck) tires-yes they only have 9K on them but they are 10 years old. Did I mention new tire pressure sensors. Keep those Items in mine when you make your decision.
Stoped by the dealer today They showed me the paper work they have $26200 in the car Maybe they paid to much for it?
Hi, having sold cars for a living many, many many years ago, I can tell you that a dealer can make it look like he paid anything he wants it to look like, by adjusting the price of the car being bought, or adding misc items to the invoice, or just plain out making up an invoice. I was looking for a c5 last year, april 07, and went to a dealer in NJ, it was a MY vert, 2001, about 28k miles and he wanted $36000, I dickered and walked out a few times, and he came down to $31000, and told me that he had that much in the car and showed me an invoice. I still felt that was to much for that car, and passed. Eventually I found an 03 AE vert with 14k miles, and got it for a great price from a seller on ebay. About a week, after I made the ebay deal the dealer called me on the phone and said that if I wanted it he would come down to $27000 for the 02MY vert. I told him I already had a car.
My point is Dealers usually mark up cars in that price range a minimum of 5k and sometimes 7 or 8k and go from there. I think the 98 6 speed vert with super low miles will probably sell for about 22k. If you like it, make an offer and wait, he may deal, or he may wait and see, but in todays economy even vettes are not jumping off the lots
Good Luck
Damn and i thought i got a good deal for my 98 vert with 50k on the clock for 18.5k, although it did come with chrome ZO6 rims and corsa X pipe and exhaust, intake and thats really about it... overall im happy with it but it looks like i could have saved a few bucks if i would have been around here earlier
I agree with Mike98silvert, 9K miles. I think the dealer if he holds out on this car will get about 25K. If it had 70 or 80K then it would sell for much less.
I purchased my 98 coupe in Feb. 08 with 9779 miles on it for $19600 and the dealer had installed a new set of Goodyear run flats on it because the others were dry rotten.

Keep looking. It doesn't cost anything. I would look for a newer one there were a lot of improvements in the 01s up. Just because it has low miles doesn't mean it won't have problems.
Yes, the dealer has too much in the car -- it rarely happens, but it does. FYI: When a dealer appraises a car, most use www.nadaguides.com for a baseline on price. When selling, they usually show the customer the nummbers in Kelly Blue Book because those numbers are usually higher. Both are on line -- do your homework and compare prices using your zip code and mileage. Low mileage was a factor in my own purchase -- just 11K miles -- but, that's just one variable to consider. If it's exactly "the" car you want, and you haven't found another like it, go for it after you've fully educated yourself, and enjoy!
