How many disks did you install total? Did you follow installation instructions to the letter? What version do you have? Did you install an update disk that may have come with your set?
Not sure if it's compatible with Vista as I have only run it on Millenium and XP on both laptops and desktops. I have had installation issues but that was usually related to certain Dell configs.
I've got a Dell Inspiron E1405, I bought a copy of eSI on DVD from a forum ,member. I tried everything I could and couldn't get it to run. I tried suggestions that I found online, I tried help from forum members, nothing would work. I kept getting the same message you are. I finally did and uninstall and purchased a genuine GM copy on 7 CD's and it works fine. By the way I'm running XP home edition.
