My first vette was a 93.
I replaced leaky oil seals on engine, water pump, optispark, coil, u joints, and there was a noise coming from behind the drivers seat where the anti-lock brake solenoids are located. Plus, the car squeeked like crazy, and flexed alot with the roof panel off. 75 K miles when sold
I have no issues with my 03 C5, except that it gets less mpg's now that i have a 3.42 rear instead of the stock 2.73's.
I love my C5. It has 50 K miles with lots of smiles.

I've had a C-4 Roadster & a C-5 Roadster. We wanted to travel but the C-4 had very limited storage space, C-5 is years ahead for long distance travel & interrior room IMO.

The c5 is better, had a c4. The c5 has no optispark, this was a large pita. better handling. weight distribution much better. faster, more room. A c4 is a nice car, c5 is better hands down. Some don't likethe looks of the c5 the *** is to large. Don't bother me. c4 is a nice looking car, but everything else about it sucks. had one, happy its gone!
