underhood light question
Has anyone replaced their 561 bulb with a push in led 561 bulb?
They sell them on the auction site for 7 bucks plus shipping.
It has 9 leds.
I was just wondering how bright it is vs stock.

damn i keep finding your threads, chicago!
i tried this one from autolumination as recommended by their site...it does NOT fit properly.
the hooks at the end of the bulb are too small for the hood fixture. the LEDs are also directional and if i correctly recall the way the bulb mounts to the fixture, the LEDs would point to the side instead of down.
eventually i got it to work but i ended up taking it out.

To the op for 10 bucks or so I say go for it and let us know how it goes. I usually carry a surefire G2 for underhood lighting.

Well looks like I will have to go the other route.
IE (removing the light and soldering in a board with LEDs)
