This might be a bit off-topic, but I hope the moderators will bear with me. Next to my Corvette, I love riding my harley best. In fact, I'm the safety officer for my local Harley Owner's Group chapter. (H.O.G.) Our monthly meeting is the first wednesday of the month. Well, last wednesday, July 2nd, one of our new members was headed home from the meeting, and someone ran a red light, and t-boned him on the left side. He's alive, but has lost his leg from the left knee down. He also has a broken femur and elbow, and will face a long, uphill battle with all the rehab he'll face soon. His second surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
Even worse, the guy that hit him took off. (Luckily he was caught about 24 hours later, he probably was drunk when he hit him and wanted to go sober up.) Didn't work though, he's now been charged with Felony hit and run, resulting in serious injury, and last I checked, was still in jail on $10,000 bond.
His name is Mark, and is a great guy. If you find yourself with a spare breath tonight as you say your prayers, please mention him to the Big Guy.
