Considering that Porsche gets $8K just for the Brembo Ceramic Brake System option I imagine any parts you get from a dealer will be pretty pricey. Brembo says they can only build about 30,000 ceramic rotors per year and it takes several days to make each one so the manufacturing cost isn't low.
gene correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that I read somewhere that the zr1 will have larger hubs, and wheel bearings, which would make the new brakes incompatible for even a c6z.

yeah it is but is there any other way to get the carbon ceramic brakes? does the aftermarket make anything like this for any vehicles?
Stoptech, $14000+
The second mod is putting our StopTech Carbon Ceramic Brake System back on the car. We've had it off and on for testing over the past year. It's back on now, which means I just shed about 36 lbs. of unsprung weight from the car vs. our iron rotor system. This system is now available for purchase at a retail of $14,999. Six piston front, four piston rear calipers. They are insane, and I love them...very, very much.

I will certainly look into that as well. No problem.
