I have a 2000 with automatic headlamps which is the law in Canada. In low light situations the lights pop up. I have heard that there is a fix for this to allow the driver to control when the lights go on
I don't believe the Canadian cars have the option of turning it off via the options menu, only the US cars can do this.
Not an option on Canadian RPOd cars.
I think there are two ways which may work on the Canadian cars, not 100% sure on either one.
1)Pull up the emerg brake 1 click. (I think you also lose your DRLs and your brake light in the IP may light up.)
2)Pull micro relay #44 in the pass footwell. (you may lose your DRLs here also.)
Both are free and worth a try. Let us know if either solution works.
If you pull micro fuse #44 (under passengers footwell) It will not effect anything else, but it will let you use the light switch in a normal fashion. The twilight sentinel feature will be disabled.
