Living in the northeast, there aren't as many top down days as you might want...but memories of the one's you have are sweet and last through the winter. I've you've always wanted a vert, do it. I did. No regrets.
I've owned my coupe for over 4 years now and my love for the car is like a roller-coaster. Knowing what I know now, I would've searched high and low for a vert in the same color combo/features...
Verts are heavier because they. have additional structural support on the windshield frame. of coruse we're only talking ~150 pounds difference.
Actually there's only 2 pounds difference between the convertible and the coupe.(3246 vs 3248) The FRC is some 130 pounds lighter (3118)than either, but not because of the windshield frame.

I chose the coupe because I wanted the extra storage space, liked the look of body style more and still could have open air driving. But not a thing wrong with the vert.
I wanted a yellow coupe and my wife wanted a red convertible. We comprimised on a yellow convertible. Now comes the bad part, after driving for 2 minutes I realized she was right on the convertible. It was painful admitting she was right. There is nothing like driving with the top down. Now I have the best of both worlds, the best color and the best body style.
