Default c5 interior

I love my '97 C5 but the interior looks like a pontiac (YUK!) I'd like to look into making some changes. Does anyone know of some posts that discuss changing out various interior parts to make the inside of the C5 looks as tizzzight as the outside?

Thanks

There are endless things you can do. Try searching threads for interior mods and check the vendor list tab above. Good Luck

Thanks.... True the mods are endless. Do you know of anything specific to changing out the HVAC controls. They looks so dated. I'm wondering if anyone has changed out the older controls for newer ones. Again... thanks for your quick response

I did the led swap on mine too, made it look way better. I don't know if it works if you put the 2005+ c6 controls in there.

Vette Essentials package made a huge difference in my car, the skys the limit to how much you want to do, its all relational to how much you want to spend.

Great suggestions. I saw the LED post. Looks very clean. If only there was a way to swap out the HVAC controls. Out of everything (aside from a seat upgrade) this would be the biggest change for me. I'll do some research and see if I can get my hands on the schematics for the HVAC on the '97 C5 compared with the new C6 or even new models of the C5.

I may be in the minority, but I like the C5 interior. I think the guages themselves look great. The steering wheel doesn't screem sports car I will admit, and while the rest of the dash is pretty generic GM from that period, but it is black and purposeful. I don't like aluminum panels, fake carbon fiber, etc. In fact, I like the C5 better than the C6. Am I the only one?

The C5 Dual Climate Control has one connector on the back of it, the C6 has three connectors... But if the dimensions are the same it could be possible to re-wire one to work in the C5...

Seat skins and console cover from a seller on ebay, Lloyd mats...call it done. No more interior "blackout".
