wonder what these might look like in a 85.... and if the housing will take the temps bump for a nice kit and what looks to be a reputable vendor.

Take the plastic cover and the rubber off before install.

I love my 6000K HID low beams and 6000K Fog Lights.

How I installed mine....

Default What's the kicker?

This is for those that claim HID kits used with stock headlight optics is "a waste of time and money."

Stock bulbs using stock optics

HID (6000K) using stock optics

The kicker is that the "Stock" picture is the stock High Beams!

I noticed the SAME thing switching when I click between my HID's to my High Beam Silverstars. Its NIGHT and DAY, and its actually scary going to the high beams. The immediate loss of light from HID to high beams will scare the crap out of you. I have not used my high beams at all since adding the HID fogs, and HID low beams.

I will take a HID set up for $200 over some $1K+ HID set up anyday and it will still net pretty much the same results.

Guys, dont waste your time on getting the ebay kits, they say they have a warrenty for XXX but they will not honor it, I know this first hand cause my ebay HID kit's pass side would flicker for about 10 seconds while warming up, it was small but it bothered me so I asked to co. to send me another ballast and what did I get? Nothing. Not even a response from my 4 emails. It since then has stopped and they have been GREAT ever since. This guy is willing to stand behind his product thats why I am getting the HID fogs from him instead of fleabay.

You are lucky. I have to turn my highs on before I shut my lights off or the headlight doors wont close.

BEWARE

HEADLIGHT DOORS may not work properly

This is a common problem associated with HIDs. The GP thread which you ordered from mentioned that. I even offered you a refund. Please don't try to make me look bad on the forum. I am not here to rip off anyone. Flipping to highs is easy with the great lighting you get.

Installed the fog lamps today. It was easy as I have a lift. Definately goes much quicker from underneath. Headlamps are going in tomorrow. I'll post when I am done.

Default HID Installs...

Hello all-

These pics aren't of a Vette, but I wanted to post some pics of my H2 that I did an HID conversion on for those that may be on the fence about doing this.

The night time driving difference was incredible and the only adjustments I made were to turn the headlights down about a 1/2 turn and no issues with being flashed etc...

Light difference on the road was just incredible. I don't have any night pictures, but you can really see the difference here. These were 4300K bulbs.

Passenger side stock, Driver side HID.

Stock factory lighting.

Both Passenger and Driver side HID.

Stock Lights.

Same angle, both HID.

Thanks for the pics. They really are good lights and a 100% improvement over stock.

There have been several fixes to the door issue posted on CF.
If you have door issues do some searching, CF members have resolved this issue long ago.

Some people do no research or even read the whole thread before making a purchase.

Default can't wait for the low beams...!

Jhonathan,
Here's the pics I took of the fogs a few days ago. My appologies for the flat light.
I did the install from the bottom also, as I had the car on the jack stands to install a Vararam Intake (great install thread from Cajundude!!) and Clear Front Marker Lights. Put some LEDs in too.
The second set of pics are the ballast bracket mounts I put together using about $5 worth of hardware. Was pretty easy to do the whole thing. Can't wait to get the low beams installed. Weird yellow/blue contrast going on with the stock lights. I'll post up some pics when the headlights are done.
Big thanks Jhonathan!!
Aloha
Michael

ps; please ignore the bugs...
