i did not know that they were making the xtreme system for the c5. I had seen it for the c6 in a few mags though. i found this video a few mins ago. sounds good.
I have the Xtreme on my C6 and just love it. I didn't know that they had it for the C5 either, I guess I'll have to upgrade the exhaust for the 04Z now.
My son-in-law put the Corsa Extreme on his '08 coupe, and it popped like a ****. We then installed a complete LG pro system, with HF cats, and X, and it quieted down the popping about 80%. Of course it got alot louder, overall, but that popping was really annoying. One surprise.... the C6's have an X-pipe stock, unlike the stock H on a C5. Which leads me to conclude, that the Xpipe alone doesn't cure the decel popping, unless the factory X is way different internally?
So what's the benefit of the Xtreme over the Pacecar?

IMHO, if Corsa was going through the process of re-tooling for a production part they should have gone to the 3" mandrel bend catback....rather than basically making a copy of what B&B did long ago I have a Corsa Pace Car system on my supercharged coupe & love the sound & "No Drone". In addition I consider myself a supporter of Corsa products because IMHO they do manufacture quality products, but this new product release gives me no reason for change/upgrade. Corsa claims better flow through the "C5 Extreme" with it's straight through design, but it is definetely not a "Max Effort" design that I would want for me purchase a new catback
FWIW, the Pace Car system is also basically a straight through system although with some extra bends to snake through the mufflers.
Think about this guys.......what do you REALLY gain with a 3'' axle back system when everything from there towards the motor is still 2.5''?
Yes, pepole with long tubes going to 3'' pipes down the tunnel THEN a 3'' axle back would benefit.
I have Kooks 1 7/8" LT's with 3" catless "X" and looking for "max effort" system with the #'s in my sig. Although many have 2.5" factory system, I do not understand why Corsa would engineer a new 2.5" system for C5's when IMO you guys have your bases already covered on 2.5" systems. You market the new Extreme C5 system as better flowing so I know this was a consideration....soooo, why not take it to the finish line for a win instead of settling for less than the maximum flow attainable
Again for the record, IMO I believe Corsa products are "Top Shelf".....I just do not understand why you promote the system as better flowing yet stop short of making it the highest flowing unit on the market
Many large cube or FI C5's here in the performance market would love to see Corsa 3" catback
This system will support up to 700 Hp with no issues. Since there is not much out there that will fall into that category this system works just fine. Corsa has always shot straight from the hip on all their products and this was not just a system they thru together over night.

So does the factory ZO6 TI.......B&B, Magnaflow, GHL, Stainless Works, Borla, etc.....I never said nor implied that Corsa "thru" this together, in fact I said that Corsa is "Top Shelf" product. The only issue here is my opinion of wishing this system was a "max effort" design to give me a reason to upgrade my Corsa Pace Car catback....I like Corsa designed products and would upgrade if this were a 3" system. Besides, 2.5" does not qualify as "Extreme" and IMHO Corsa should have saved the "Extreme" name for max effort design instead of more marketing than substance.
