I like the idea that the Vararam makes the "nose vents" functional and routes cold air into the engine. It saves me the time of "Gerry-rigging" up some crappy duct work from home depot.
I have the VaraRam, haven't tested it at the track, but I've seen the hands down results all over, the VaraRam will get you the most power, plus it costs less. The Honker is ok I guess, Its probably easier to install it.

Hey man, don't be hating on us 'DIY' Home Depot guys!!!!
I like the idea of the Vararam but for me it's not a very well made piece. The Honker is a much better constructed piece of equipment. I would like to see one car fitted with the Honker or Vararam first then tested, removed and fitted with the other, then tested again. Then you could see all the numbers and have a true comparison. The honker does get the ram effect through air plenum but not quite as direct. And it occupies the same space as the radiator which would take away a lot of pressure from the Honker. But does the Honker take away any appreciable amount of cooling from the radiator? Probably not! There's my .02 I hope it doesn't cause to much controversy.
