I hit a deer in my Vette
While at Mid-Ohio last week for the ALMS race I hit a deer on the way back to the hotel, luckily it did not hit straight on and end up in my lap .
We were able to tape it up and drive the car back home, thanks to a great bunch of CF members Pic from the parade lap at the track 1 hour before the hit. The suicidal deer and the pics of the damage ( exterior/under hood )
once we realized that I was OK and we were able to bring the car home the guys decided to have some fun and create the FIRST Nascar Vette, the "NASVETTE"
I'm currently waiting to hear back from the insurance adjuster to get it repaired.
WOW! Glad everyone was ok. Too Bad for the Vett and Deer. Way to go making lemonade out of SH*TTY situation. Love the JEGS stickers and C5r Logo... Good luch with everything.. thanks for Sharing.

Sorry about the car Ray...at least it was a fairly light hit and you're ok..
Just looking at that road with solid tree coverage on one side, open land on the other...and appeared to be around dusk...that's just the perfect recipe for deer encounters.

Best of luck getting it repaired right, and soon.
Thanks Tom, there were about a dozen of us travelling together. the car in front of me had a passenger who saw the TWO deer on the grass to the right of us, but before he could warn us on the RF radios it was too late.

Too late, one of the locals who heard the impact came out to take care of it, apparently there's some program in place where an agency comes out and picks up the fresh hits for some food bank or something.
